Before You Start
Setting up your first campaign with Alex is straightforward, but a few minutes of preparation will make a significant difference in your results. Before you dive in, make sure you have three things ready: a clean contact list, a clear value proposition, and a voicemail script.
Prepare Your Contact List
Your contact list should be a CSV file with at minimum a name and phone number for each contact. Additional fields like company name, title, and industry will enable better personalization. For your first campaign, start small. A list of 50 to 100 contacts is ideal for testing and learning.
Define Your Value Proposition
Before Alex starts dialing, you need to know what you are offering and why the prospect should care. Write a single sentence that captures the core benefit. This sentence will anchor your voicemail script and any live conversations that result from callbacks.
Step 1: Upload Your Contacts
Log into your Open Humana dashboard and navigate to the Contacts section. Click Upload and drag your CSV file into the upload area. The system will automatically map common column headers like Name, Phone, Company, and Email. Review the mapping, make any corrections, and confirm the upload.
Step 2: Create Your Voicemail
Navigate to the Voicemails section. You can use the default voicemail template or create a custom one. For custom voicemails, type your script and select a voice profile. The AI will generate a natural-sounding voicemail that you can preview before saving.
Keep your script between 18 and 25 seconds when spoken. Focus on the prospect's potential pain point and a clear next step, usually a callback or a reply to a follow-up email.
Step 3: Configure Your Campaign
Go to the Campaigns section and click Create Campaign. Give it a descriptive name, select your contact list, choose your voicemail, and set your dialing parameters. Key settings include the time window for calls, which should align with your prospects' business hours, and the dialing mode.
Step 4: Launch and Monitor
Hit Launch. Alex will begin working through your contact list, making calls, detecting voicemails, and dropping your personalized message. You can monitor progress in real time from the dashboard. Watch for live transfers, these are prospects who answered and were connected to your team.
For your first campaign, check in frequently. Look at connection rates, voicemail drop rates, and callback numbers. These metrics will tell you if your timing, list quality, and messaging are working.
Optimizing After Launch
After your first campaign completes, review the results. Which time slots had the highest connection rates? Which contacts called back? Use these insights to refine your next campaign. Over time, you will develop a playbook that consistently delivers results, and Alex will execute it at a scale no human team can match.
